Lynton Laser & IPL in London

Clearer skin and smooth, hair-free skin with Lynton

Medical-grade Lynton laser and IPL treat pigmentation, sun damage, redness, thread veins and unwanted hair, with each setting matched to your skin type.

Two treatments, one system

Skin rejuvenation and hair removal with Lynton

Light targets whatever absorbs it. Brown pigment soaks up light in sun spots, red haemoglobin in thread veins and dark pigment in hair follicles. Your practitioner chooses the filter and energy for your concern, which is why one Lynton system treats both skin and hair.

  • IPL skin rejuvenation: £250 per session
  • Hair removal: from £40 per area
  • Settings matched to your skin type
  • Patch test before your first session

The treatment

What is Lynton Laser & IPL?

Lynton laser and IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments at PureSkin in Marylebone, London use light energy to treat pigmentation, sun damage, redness, thread veins and unwanted hair. Lynton is a British maker of medical-grade systems, and PureSkin uses the Lynton 3JUVE platform. Your practitioner sets the wavelength and energy for your skin type and concern, so the light targets pigment, blood vessels or hair follicles while leaving surrounding skin unharmed.

  • Calms redness and visible thread veins
  • Reduces unwanted hair on face and body
  • Brightens and evens skin tone

The science

How does Lynton Laser & IPL work?

The handpiece delivers short pulses of light that pass through the skin and are absorbed by a target: melanin in pigmentation and hair, or haemoglobin in blood vessels. The light turns to heat, breaking up pigment, sealing small vessels or disabling the hair follicle. Your body then clears the treated pigment and vessels over the following weeks.

Is it right for me?

Who is Lynton Laser & IPL for?

  • Anyone with sun spots, age spots or uneven pigmentation
  • Clients with facial redness or visible thread veins
  • Anyone wanting longer-lasting hair reduction
  • Those who want brighter, more even skin with little downtime

Results

What results can I expect?

For skin rejuvenation, pigmentation darkens and flakes away within 7 to 10 days, and most clients need 3 to 5 sessions 3 to 4 weeks apart. For hair removal, hair reduces over a course of 6 to 8 sessions 4 to 6 weeks apart, because light only treats hairs in their growth phase. Your skin type and hair colour affect how well light treatments work, and your practitioner explains this at your patch test.

Questions

Lynton Laser & IPL FAQs

What is IPL skin rejuvenation?

IPL (intense pulsed light) uses broad-spectrum light to treat sun spots, pigmentation, redness and thread veins. The light heats pigment and small blood vessels, which your body then clears, leaving a clearer, more even complexion.

What is the difference between laser and IPL?

A laser uses a single wavelength of light aimed at one target. IPL uses a broad range of light filtered for the concern being treated. The Lynton system at PureSkin lets your practitioner choose the right light for pigmentation, vessels or hair.

How much does laser hair removal cost in London?

At PureSkin, hair removal costs from £40 per area per session, and IPL skin rejuvenation costs £250 per session. Your consultation and patch test are free.

How many sessions will I need?

Skin rejuvenation takes 3 to 5 sessions spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart. Hair removal takes 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, because light only treats hairs in their active growth phase.

Is laser hair removal permanent?

Light treatments give long-term hair reduction rather than guaranteed permanent removal. Most clients see far fewer, finer hairs after a full course, with occasional maintenance sessions.

Does IPL work on all skin types?

Light treatments work best when there is a contrast between skin and the target, such as dark hair on lighter skin. Your practitioner checks your skin type and carries out a patch test, and adjusts settings or suggests another treatment if needed.

Does IPL hurt?

Each pulse feels like a quick snap of an elastic band against the skin. We apply cooling gel, and most clients find it comfortable.

Why do I need a patch test?

A patch test shows how your skin reacts to the light before a full treatment. We carry it out at your first visit, and your first session follows a few days later if your skin responds well.

Can IPL treat rosacea and thread veins?

Yes. IPL targets the red pigment in blood vessels, so it reduces visible thread veins and the background redness of rosacea over a course of sessions.

Where can I get laser hair removal and IPL in London?

PureSkin offers Lynton laser hair removal and IPL skin rejuvenation at 11 Welbeck Street, London W1G 9XZ, in Marylebone, a minute from Harley Street and a short walk from Bond Street station. The clinic is open Monday to Saturday, 11am to 7pm.
