The treatment works through a form of ‘intralipotherapy’. During the procedure, a specially modified compound of cholanic acid is injected into the problem area. Before Treatment
Avoid having treatment during menstruation
Avoid intake of anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen
Avoid blood thinners (e.g. alcohol, aspirin, Vitamin E, herbal preparations and supplements)
Avoid binge eating before treatment
After Treatment
Application of cosmetics to the injected area should be avoided for 24 hours.
Avoid alcohol consumption at least for 48 hours after the treatment
The injected area should not be exposed to direct heat for at least 48 hours.
Avoid strenuous exercise for about 4-5 days
Avoid intake of anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen
After 48 hours, massage daily with gentle circular motions on the injected area for 1-2 weeks after the procedure.
Hot compress and wearing a compression garment can help with the swelling and results.
To achieve best results, patients are advised to take carnitine and stay hydrated by drinking water.
